Much discussion on the past 3 qualifying sessions.

J.R Bailey made the motion that a dog must pass 2 qualifying sessions at 2 different locations to be a “Supreme” Qualified HTCD.

Tim Miser 2nd motion. Motion carried unanimously.

J.R. Bailey made the motion that all qualifying sessions in the future will have a $50 entry fee entered and paid 2 weeks prior to the event. Anyone that wants to rerun, the fee will be $25; limit one rerun per day after all entries have run.

Trevon Ogden 2nd motion. Motion carried unanimously.

Trevon Ogden made the motion that qualifying sessions and location will be determined by the BOD. Members wanting to qualify their dogs should apply to the association and a place and time will be set up. There needs to be a minimum of 10 dogs entered and paid 2 weeks in advance, non-refundable. Sponsoring ranch must understand they should have good cattle, 30 to 40 head of yearlings weighing 400+ pounds and dog broke. We cannot expect judges to travel all over the country for only a few dogs or a bad location or cattle that are not suitable.

Charlie Trayer 2nd motion. Motion carried unanimously.

Tim Miser made the motion that the BOD will nominate judges as needed if not enough directors are available at the time of the event. At each event, there must be at least one of the executive board (President, Vice President, or Executive

Director) as the three judges.                                                                                      Trevon Ogden 2nd motion. Motion carried unanimously.

Charlie Trayer made the motion to have the next Supreme Qualifier Monday, October 8, 2018 at the NRS facility. Also, anyone wanting to qualify their dog that is entered in the horseback class can also enter their dog to try to qualify for Supreme registration at the same time. The supreme qualifier will only be in the first go around. The dog must be entered in the horseback class also, he cannot run otherwise.                                                                                                                        John Jacot 2nd the motion. Motion carried unanimously.

J.R. Bailey made the motion that the Stud Dog Class at the 2018 Futurity will be replaced by a “Supreme” Class. Only Supreme qualified dogs are allowed to enter.

The entry fee will be $300 and must be entered by Sept. 1, 2018 for qualified dogs only. Any dog that qualifies at the final qualifying event Monday Oct. 8, 2018 at the NRS Facility will be allowed to enter the Supreme Class at the 2018 Futurity. The dog must be entered in the Supreme Class Monday Oct. 8 following the event. All dogs that have been qualified one time are allowed to enter this class this year. Charlie Trayer 2nd . Motion carried unanimously.

The 2018 Hangin’ Tree Cowdog Association Inc. annual meeting will be Friday Oct. 12 one hour after the trials are over located at the NRS meeting room. Following the annual meeting we will move to another location for food, auction, and calcutta.

Minor changes were discussed regarding the lay out of the trial courses but nothing major. Lay out of course and each obstacle along with rules will be posted for all to see.

We would like to encourage all members to support the auction. This is for the association and help is needed to be able to put this event on at this great facility.
